Widow’s Might plays a major role in providing support and counsel to help guide a widow through the trauma and changes that immediately present themselves.
Widow’s Might of Prescott stands for empowering, supporting and engaging with the widows in our surrounding area, to follow God’s words in James 1:26-27.
26 If anyone thinks he is religious and yet does not bridle his tongue[a] but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is futile.
27 “Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”
We strive to help each widow to maintain her joy of life through our readiness to walk alongside her through this season of life.
Purpose
There is almost no other life-event that causes the type and level of stress induced by the death of a spouse. Besides obvious emotional outpouring, psychological effects can bring on sadness, anxiety, and loneliness. Most widows lose 75% of their support base when their spouse dies. Approximately 700,000 women are widowed each year and two-thirds of all widows are over the age of 65.
If you face any of these challenges, Widow’s Might can be your vanguard.
If you are a widow who is suffering from the loss of a spouse or you know of a widow who is suffering from the loss of a spouse and is struggling, please contact us.
